We assist international newcomers who are moving to Brussels and need somewhere to live before they arrive or shortly after. That includes university and exchange students, Erasmus participants, EU and institutional trainees, PhD researchers, interns and young professionals starting their careers in Belgium — as well as the parents, universities, international offices, agencies and employers who support them.
We act as a housing facilitator and accommodation partner. We operate from Brussels and work directly with property owners and housing providers to coordinate suitable, professionally managed accommodation, and we provide structured onboarding so that arriving in a new country feels less daunting.
We match your needs — budget, location, dates and preferences — with accommodation coordinated with property owners and managers.
Where needed, we provide housing documentation to support enrolment and pre-arrival preparation.
We guide new arrivals on practical matters such as municipality registration, transport and neighbourhood orientation.
You have a real, reachable local point of contact throughout your stay — not an automated system.
We are not necessarily the owner of every property we present. Many are owned or managed by third-party landlords on whose behalf we coordinate accommodation. The final decision on any tenancy rests with the property owner or manager, and accommodation remains subject to availability, screening and approval. We are transparent about this so that your expectations are accurate from the outset.
Brussels International Housing has been coordinating accommodation for international arrivals since 1998. Over more than 25 years we have supported people from over 80 nationalities across Brussels neighbourhoods, building practical familiarity with the Belgian rental market and the administrative steps newcomers face.
